About Us
Our Mission
Building relationships
that change things
Who We Are
Can we sum it up in a
paragraph? Nope. But we'll try anyway. We are a diverse,
community of average and unpretentious people who are trying to
learn to follow Jesus in the midst of everyday life. We're a
fairly young, non-denominational church that is leaning heavily
on the leading and strength of God and doing our best to hold on
and not get in His way. In the past few years we've seen God
bring growth to every part of our life together- and we've got a
hunch that this is only the beginning. We believe that the Story
we are living in is primarily relational, so our stated, daily
mission is to "Build relationships that God can use to change
things." And to His credit- He is. We're aspiring to love God,
each other and the world around us well and deeply. Time and
again we find ourselves shaking our heads in wonder at the
unique, healthy, flexible, authentic, healing Kingdom outpost
that God is growing us into.
Our Beliefs
† God is bigger and better and closer
than we can imagine.
† Jesus is God showing himself to us.
† Through His Holy Spirit, God lives in and
through us now.
† Nothing in creation "just happened."
God made it all.
† Grace is the only way to have a relationship
with God.
† Faith is the only way to grow in our relationship
with God.
† The church is to serve people like Jesus served
people.
† Jesus is coming again.
† Love wins.

Connecting with God: Intimacy with Our Father
"I will be in them..."
We call it connecting with God. God wants to connect with us. God wants
to be in relationship with us. God desires a people that are pursuing
Him with all their heart. Out of that connection is a heart that loves
others and the world. Our first objective is to connect with our Father.

Connecting with Others: Community Within
"...So that they will be completely one..."
We call it connecting with each other. If there should be a safe place
where we can connect with each other and build authentic relationships,
it should be the church. A place where we can commit to one another to
help each other, care for each other, support each other.
We are intentional about building relationships with a group of believers
in a way that allows us to experience accountability, a sense of belonging,
and care.

Connecting with Our World: Reaching Out
"...Then the world will know that you sent Me and that you loved
them just as much as you loved me."
We call it reaching out. We intentionally care for those outside our
spiritual family. We recognize we have been commissioned to transform
and lead others into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our relationships extend beyond families of Connections. There is a world
out there that needs us. There are people that need to hear about our
Jesus. There are people that practical needs to be met. There are people
that are hungry, lonely, lost…people that need to know that we care
and Jesus loves them.
Connections makes it a priority to connect with our world. We look outside
the relationships that we have here and seek to help others.
We are committed to reaching out. We will commit to share our faith wherever
we may be. Our lives will be living examples of the love that Jesus has
for people. Our approach is to invest and invite. We first invest in the
lives of people. Basically, we care for people. We love people. We invest
in their life…and then invite them to see what Jesus has done for
them.
Our commitment is to remain cognizant of those around us…invest
in their lives…and invite. We simply allow the Father’s love
for people to flow from us to everyone around
"Pure and undefiled religion before
God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows
in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the
world."
