What to Expect @ Connections

Dress
Come as you are to Connections.

Contemporary Music
The music at Connections is contemporary with a goal of leading you into intimate worship. Expect drums, keyboard, guitars and vocalists.  While there are some who are more expressive with their worship at Connections (raising their hands during the songs), as a community we are not overly charismatic (no speaking in tongues, fainting, yelling or that sort of thing). 

Awesome Kids’ Programs
At Connections your kids are a priority for us. You’ll find our nursery safe and loving. Our various children’s classes are fun and relational.  The teens get sound biblical teaching on their level (we have a separate middle school and high school group). The kids will love being at Connections.  We offer children's church at both of our morning services.  (But only offer middle and high school gatherings at the 11:15am service)

A Place to Belong
We are a group of people from very different backgrounds (Haitian,
Bahamian, Puerto Rican, and black and white North American!) - (Methodist, Baptists, Lutheran, Catholic, etc.) who are learning what it means to be one community of faith together.  We know how isolated and "different" people can feel when coming to a new place for the first time.  So please, come the way you are, and know you will be welcomed. God loves you just the same as all his children and we'll try to treat you that way too.

A Message of Hope, Encouragement and Grace
First time visitors often tell us that the Sunday messages are much more like a thought-provoking college lecture/talk than a sermon where you feel preached at (no yelling, tirades or pounding the lectern here).  You won't find us bashing people who aren't just like us or have faiths different from our own.  We hope you'll find us exhibiting the same love, forgiveness, acceptance and good news that Jesus demonstrated over 2000 years ago.
