CNX Volunteer
Opportunities
Been thinking
you’d like to be a bit more involved in the life of the Connections’
community? Wondering how you can help out? We were hoping you’d
ask.
Below are some
volunteer needs opened up by our new space and next season of
ministry. Take a peek and holler at the designated contact person
if you are interested in or have questions about any of the
following opportunities.
CNX KIDS
(Birth-5th grades):
· CNX
Kids’ Greeter/Registration Person:
Man the welcome counter to check kids in and make new families feel
welcome on Sunday mornings.
· Walker’s
Lead Teacher:
Play with those
children who have graduated from the nursery but are not yet ready
for a preschool environment.
· Nursery
Volunteers:
Care for infants on Sunday mornings.
· Preschool
Lead & Asst. Teachers:
Teach and/or
provide support to the teacher of 4-5 year olds.
· Storytellers:
Bring
a story to life for kids on Sunday mornings.
· Assistant
Elementary Teachers:
Provide an adult
presence and support for our elementary class teacher
Note:
Most
volunteer roles in our kids’ ministry are scheduled on a rotating
basis serving once a month. Contact person for all kids’ needs:

EMERGE STUDENT
MINISTRY (6th-12th grades):
· Night
Life Cafe Staff:
Offer a safe, positive Friday night hangout for students by
providing an adult presence, helping prevent shenanigans and playing

· Sunday
Am Volunteers:
Invest in the lives of students by hanging out with them on Sunday
mornings and helping as you are able (ex. organizing games, leading
discussion groups, teaching, etc.) Contact person: Al Whitehouse

CNX ADULTS:
· Sound
techs:
Have some
experience with sound and audio systems? Love technology? Like to
turn knobs and push buttons? We need to train a few more folks to
run our sound system.

· PPT
Techs:
Help develop and run the song slides for our Sunday am gatherings.

· Welcome
Center Hosts:
Hang out by
the welcome counter and be a friendly face and point of information
for those with questions. Contact person: Scott Sutton

· Coffee
Team:
Make sure
everyone gets their java fix by showing up early to make coffee and
cleaning up afterward. Contact person: Jaycee McGowan

· Clean
Up Team:
Help us get the
trash out and put the space back together as needed after our Sunday
